As Freed and Then

Twelving rests for five and water
Chaperones the life out of
Warmed fast beyond the river
Seeped and shortfall
Everlast to sift one's history from the desire
To serve to streamline rest
Each morsel conversation
Safened or detracted risk
Would have remained through all
The foster yarn the sieve the simpling
Altogether formed as freed and then

Send Roses Today

Send in color,
Send blue ones flashing on the screen,
Send roses, send today
Send ripe ones, budded ones, ones with petals that appear relaxed,
Send tight ones, ones with flecks of white,
Send roses, send in color, black and white, send tinted ones,
Send roses that depart the charts in beauty,
Send big ones, sweetheart ones, send white and yellow, even
rubharb-colored ones,
Send roses the color pie, send bone toned,
Send the color wheel of roses,
Send fed ex, send hand delivered,
Send roses anything but C.O.D.,
Send roses today

quiet

quiet from the ground up
quiet simply thinking
quiet as unlatched
quiet once she sang she spoke she whispered
quiet since
quiet before birth
quiet first preferred then
quiet simplified
quiet followed by a small trill
quiet meaning nothing
quiet at last
